Need to Refund Airline Ticket? Want to Re-book a Flight? Possible Starting June 15
This is good news.
I don’t have a first hand experience of getting bumped off from a flight but I have friends who had. Recently, airlines have made this a habit. A money-making machine. What pathetic way of milking their customers. Airline companies didn’t see this coming huh?
Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) imposed that domestic airlines will face suspension and fees if they bump off passengers from an overbooked flight and disallow refunds and re-booking of airline tickets. These orders were issued last May 4.
Airlines are one of the abusive industries who take advantage of promotions just to milk consumers. Just because a commodity is bought cheaper means a consumer would expect lesser than the usual. Do not underestimate your consumers because it’s us who give glory to your brand(s). To think that these promo fares helped boost airline industry in the Philippines, it’s hard to accept that the money you saved on the ticket is equal to the time you’ll have to waste for the inconvenience that follows after.
Uuuuh!!! Thanks to those who took time to complain and report such mishaps. Because of your persistence, this was made possible. Here’s a chart of the summary of complaints made this year.

This is a good example of a NEED RESOLVED! Fear no more of not getting your rights as a consumer. CAB has addressed at least one of the hundred complaints on your list today. Yup!
